Hitchcock ........ The Legend

Sir Alfred Hitchcock was born on 13th of august, in the year of 1899. He was a legendary film director. However, he had a rough childhood. He was very lonely with limited number of friends and this loneliness was compounded by the fact that he was an obese. His father died when he was only 14 years old. After  his father's  death ,he pursued his study from London County Council school of engineering  and navigation in popular, London. After completing his study there, he became draftsman and advertising designer with a company called Henley's.
Hitchcock 's film carrer is more than 50 years. in English film review, his films are famous for psychological horrors, thrilling plots with crime, murder and violence. Hitchcock was famous for his unique style of direction. I was spellbounded when i first watched his film "psycho". It virtually turned me into a Hitchcock fan since then. I must say that he introduced  many new style of photography like the camera used to move in a certain way as if it mimics a person's gaze. All this coupled with horror and thrill made each of his films memorable in its own way. He may be considered  as the father of psychological horror genre in Hollywood film industry. He used to take shots in such a way that it striked terror, anxiety, fear in the viewers mind. In english movie review, his films deserves special mention for twisted endings and his plots used to have sexual undertones. According  to me, some of his masterpieces are :
·         psycho
·         The 39 steps
·         Notorious
·         The lady vanishes
·         Rear window
·         vertigo
·         The birds.
Hitchcock has also done some cameo roles in his own films. I can undoubtedly say that Hitchcock shaped the geometry  of modern cinema making in Hollywood and a director like Hitchcock can be safely called a legend who comes once in a lifetime.
